Chris Uraine

Chris manages the team that is responsible for California building codes development. He has played nearly every role on this team, from developing technical reports that span all building components, to technical lead, and coordinating activities for the larger California Statewide Utility Codes and Standards Team. Chris also oversees the development and pursuit of codifying embodied carbon requirements. He has previously spent significant time working on state and federal appliance standards and building codes on the federal and municipal level. Chris has been a voting member for a number of different committees at both the Green Building Initiative and ASHRAE, overseeing various topics, including water efficiency, energy efficiency, and the quantification of building embodied and operational emissions.
