Yao-Jung is an expert in connectivity and controls of lighting technologies as well as other connected devices. He brings over 15 years of broad experience from the lighting industry, spanning academic research, technology demonstration, and standardization and regulation. Within the Energy Efficiency Department, Yao-Jung leads engineering development and measure support for the lighting efficiency programs. He also provides support in various policy development related to lighting and lighting controls, including lighting system standards, building energy codes and standards, and voluntary efficiency qualification programs. Yao-Jung holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from University of California, Berkeley and is a Certified Lighting Professional (LC). He has written many peer-reviewed papers and given talks at major conferences in both lighting and utility industries.
