Translate California’s Building Codes (Title 24) into easy-to-understand educational content and resources regarding the code and its implications for various stakeholders.
Title 24 establishes building energy efficiency standards for newly constructed and existing buildings. These standards are intended to improve energy efficiency and enable demand reductions during critical peak periods.
Through our role developing California’s Building Codes and implementing voluntary incentive programs, Energy Solutions has developed educational materials for different market actors in the areas of energy efficiency, demand response, and electric vehicles. Stakeholders include: customers, contractors, builders, designers, utility and code enforcement staff, technology providers, city officials, and demand response providers.
Our building codes education and training focuses on:
- Lighting (non-residential and residential)
- Demand response
- Electric vehicle infrastructure
- Plug loads
- Implications of Title 24 on voluntary incentive programs
Energy Solutions staff has provided customized versions of trainings to enhance building code compliance and/or to educate stakeholders on how best to prepare for upcoming building codes.
