Sam Cohen, President

Mr. Cohen founded Energy Solutions in 1995. He specializes in providing program design, marketing, and implementation assistance for energy-efficiency programs serving business sector customers. Currently, Mr. Cohen is supervising several programs, including energy efficiency services for local governments, lighting retrofit programs that target the small commercial sector, a senior housing program focusing on lighting and boilers, distributor stocking programs for motors and air conditioners, a design assistance program, resource conservation manager work in schools, and creating equipment databases. For many years, he helped manage Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) Express Efficiency (nonresidential retrofit) program. Between 1998 and 2000, Energy Solutions’ turn-key marketing program for PG&E’s Express Efficiency program resulted in the program exceeding target goals; the 2000 program received over 22,000 applications, a substantial increase from previous years. PG&E’s Express Efficiency program was adopted statewide in 1999 and Energy Solutions helped all four investor-owned utilities launch their own versions of these programs. Projects for other clients include energy efficiency marketing strategies, process evaluations, and greenhouse gas reduction planning. Also, co-author of a successful $1.3 million DOE Rebuild America grant to transform local energy efficiency markets.

Prior to starting Energy Solutions, Mr. Cohen was an Associate at Barakat & Chamberlain, where he specialized in Demand Side Management (DSM) program design and implementation. Mr. Cohen also managed the company’s technology database and was the firm’s specialist in lighting, motors, and adjustable speed drives. Before that, Mr. Cohen was a Senior Research Associate at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he worked on evaluating energy savings and economics of retrofitting single-family homes, incorporating environmental externalities into utility planning, and DSM bidding. Mr. Cohen received his Masters Degree from the Energy and Resources Group at U.C. Berkeley, and his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, also from U.C. Berkeley. Mr. Cohen received the 2002 Program Design Innovator Award from the Association of Energy Engineers Bay Area Chapter.

Ted Pope, Vice President

Mr. Pope manages Energy Solutions' residential markets and codes and standards consulting practices. He provides market research, program design and implementation, regulatory compliance, and efficiency standards intervention support activities to utility, local government, and non-profit clients. Mr. Pope oversees Energy Solutions' administration of the national Cool Roof Rating Council and provides analytical and process support for the establishment of state and federal appliance standards. Mr. Pope oversaw the implementation of California's LightWash commercial clothes washer rebate program, and prior to coming to Energy Solutions, developed and/or managed the residential clothes washer, refrigerator, lighting fixture, emerging technologies, and geothermal heat pump programs for PG&E. He has taken leadership roles in facilitating several regional and national collaborative program-planning activities. Earlier, at Seattle City Light in Seattle, Washington, Mr. Pope managed a water heater rebate program and earned an EPRI Innovator award for leadership of the ground breaking EPRI clothes washer research project known as THELMA. While at Seattle City Light, he helped develop the performance specifications and authored the technical support documentation for Consortium for Energy Efficiency's widely adopted national efficient washer program. Prior to Seattle City Light, Mr. Pope worked at the Washington State Energy Office where he prepared program evaluations and provided technical support to Northwest utilities for residential appliance program development. Mr. Pope earned a Bachelor of Science in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University with an emphasis in engineering.

Terrance Pang, Director

Mr. Pang brings 25 years of increasing utility energy efficiency program experience from Pacific Gas and Electric Company, a national leader in the energy efficiency field. Having begun his career completing, residential, commercial and industrial energy surveys and continuing efficiency project development as an Account Executive to major customers for PG&E, Terrance has a broad, realistic sense of what can be accomplished in the marketplace with a healthy appreciation for customer's barriers. He provides experience from twelve PG&E position responsibility areas and an extensive network of market contacts to the Energy Solution's program design and implementation process. As a Supervisor with PG&E, he provided oversight of multiple programs with combined budgets of up to $80 million annually. His current program experience includes oversight and promotion of the most efficient residential lighting, commercial motors, HVAC equipment, computer monitors and commercial lighting products via different market channels and market actors. Recent awards include an "Exemplary Award" from ACEEE in 2003 for implementing the Upstream Lighting Program and an award from the U. S. DOE/EPA Energy Star® Program in 2004 for serving on the Board of Directors for the National PEARL Program. Mr. Pang received his Bachelors Degree from the University of California, Berkeley in the interdisciplinary Environmental Science Program.

Alex Alzugaray, Director

Mr. Alzugaray currently supervises multiple efforts serving the Large Commercial and Institutional market sector and manages the Cool and Light- Advanced Energy Saving Opportunities for Large Retail Program.  In support of other Energy Solutions programs, Mr. Alzugaray provides goal tracking and database management services. He also provides technical and regulatory filing support for 3rd party and utility run programs. His knowledge on lighting measures and program design and implementation benefit a number of Energy Solutions and client efforts. 

Mr. Alzugaray successfully managed a vendor coupon program that issued incentives to lighting vendors for work performed with medium to large commercial customers.  He managed a successful small commercial lighting program that focused on addressing hard to reach market segments in Stockton. By providing comprehensive service that includes survey, design, financial, and project management services, the program addressed the small commercial market as well as tenant-landlord barriers. Prior to joining Energy Solutions, Mr. Alzugaray was responsible for marketing, customer service, and project management support at the PG&E Energy Efficiency Resource Center. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Studies and Planning and Certificate of Energy Management from Sonoma State University.

Bruce L. Chamberlain, CEM, Director

Mr. Chamberlain is currently the lead on implementation of the Association of Bay Area Governments' (ABAG) Energy Watch Partnership. He is also the ES lead on Resource Conservation Manager services provided to public schools under PG&E's School Resource Program. He was the lead on designing and implementing the lighting component of the 2003-04 LightWash Program. Mr. Chamberlain has assisted the Community Energy Services Corporation (Berkeley) and Ecology Action (Monterey Bay area) in designing and implementing two, separate CPUC-funded initiatives targeting under-served small businesses. Prior to joining Energy Solutions, Mr. Chamberlain developed and/or managed four residential energy efficiency programs as a Program Manager with Pacific Gas and Electric Company. These included two multifamily residential contractor programs, the Residential Air Conditioning Distributor Incentive program and a joint energy-efficiency marketing research effort with the City of San Jose. Previously, Mr. Chamberlain designed and managed municipal energy projects for both the City of San Francisco's Bureau of Energy Conservation and City of Berkeley's Energy Office. Projects ranged from a large-scale, comprehensive energy retrofit project in the Recreation and Park Department to two U.S. Department of Energy grants (Boiler Efficiency Program Guidebook and Implementation Tools for Municipal Energy Retrofits). In addition to the municipal sector, Mr. Chamberlain's energy-efficiency program experience covers energy accounting assistance, lighting surveys and lighting technology demonstrations at schools, small businesses, hotels, and Indian reservations. Mr. Chamberlain is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Renewable Natural Resources at U.C. Davis with an emphasis in environmental planning and management. He is currently President of the SF Bay Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers.

Chris Burmester (PhD), Director

Dr. Burmester has been active in the computer and information sciences fields for the past 18 years. He manages Energy Solutions' IT projects. His largest current project is an online application system for the California Solar Initiative (CSI). His previous project was designing and implementing an online application system for the statewide Upstream Motors and Air Conditioning program, which offers distributors rebates for stocking and selling premium efficient equipment. Prior to working at Energy Solutions, he co-founded Confoti, Inc., a digital imaging technology company. Before that, he was the Director of Formation, a technology company that partnered with firms to produce leading products in a wide range of fields. Dr. Burmester holds multiple degrees from the University of California at Berkeley, including BS and MS degrees in Materials Science and Engineering and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering with a minor emphasis in Computer Science. He is the author of over 40 publications and has received awards from the Institute for the Future, the US DOE, Apple Computer, and MasPar Computer.

Annette (Ann) Guy, Director

Ms. Guy currently is managing the retrocommissioning services component of and providing program management support for the ABAG Energy Watch program. This successful program is currently working with 61 local government agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area to reduce energy use in their own facilities through efficiency upgrades in existing facilities, energy efficient design of new buildings, energy efficiency procurement policies, and similar measures.  The program also reduces energy use among the agencies’ constituents by assisting with energy elements in General Plans, incorporating energy efficiency into developer agreements, developing climate action plans for greenhouse gas reductions, and other policy measures.  In 2004-2005, the program assisted in developing energy efficiency projects that were expected to save over 17 million kWh for local government agencies.  In 2006-2008, the program expects to facilitate the identification and installation of projects that will save over 25 million kWh.  Ms. Guy is also serving as the lead for Energy Solution’s solar photovoltaic practice area.  In this capacity, Ms. Guy is responsible for supervising project work and deliverables that include site assessments, feasibility studies, project economic analyses, RFP and specification development, and construction management.  Ms. Guy is also providing management support for the staff of the Cool Roof Rating Council, an organization that provides radiative property data on roof surfaces that can improve the energy efficiency of buildings.  Prior to joining Energy Solutions, Ms. Guy managed and developed renewable energy, green building, and water conservation projects for Brown, Vence & Associates (now HDR|BVA).  Prior to that, Ms. Guy worked at the City of San Jose, where she managed a pilot project to purchase retail power for major City electrical accounts.  Ms. Guy’s previous experience included working for the Association of Bay Area Governments to develop a regional power purchasing pool for member agencies, and interning at the United Nations Environment Program where she coordinated a management initiative to integrate the five environmental subdivisions of the Sustainable Energy and Environment Division.  She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and her Masters Degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of California at Berkeley.

Erika Walther, CEM, LEED™ A.P., Senior Project Manager

Erika Walther specializes in managing both energy and water efficiency programs at Energy Solutions. Ms. Walther provides energy efficiency technical consulting services to over a dozen local governments under the Association of Bay Area Governments Energy Watch program. She also manages the Energy Efficiency Policy element of the ABAG Energy Watch program, providing customized policy assistance to a half dozen participating agencies. In addition, she works with the Regional Water Authority, which represents nearly 20 water suppliers, providing program administration for the RWA's Landscape Irrigation System Incentive Grant Program. From 2004-05, Ms. Walther managed the LightWash program, a $1.5 million incentive program that promoted the use of efficient commercial washing machines, efficient lighting and condensing water heaters in coin laundry stores and multi-family common area laundries. She has provided technical support for development of new State appliance standards and designed and implemented the Water-wise Landscape Rebate Program for Stanford University's Utilities Division. Ms. Walther also has experience in the design, installation, and financing of small-scale renewable energy projects. Prior to coming to Energy Solutions, Ms. Walther conducted research at U.C. Berkeley's Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory assessing the efficiency and performance of solar thermal and solar electric technologies. Ms. Walther is a Certified Energy Manager (C.E.M.) and a LEED™ Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council. She received her Master of Arts Degree from the Energy and Resources Group at U.C. Berkeley and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Studies from U.C. Santa Barbara.

Luther Kopf, Senior Project Manager

Mr. Kopf works with the design and implementation of energy efficiency programs. He is currently working on the California Solar Initiative (CSI) managing the integration and functional specification portion of the online application processing system. He also manages the Federal and State E5K lighting program, providing design assistance and spectrally enhanced lighting expertise. He managed the development of the California Instant Rebate System which is an online application that manages rebate processing from data entry to payment. The system is used by the Statewide Upstream Motors and Air Conditioning Program, as well as the PG&E Commercial Lighting and Residential HVAC Programs. Mr. Kopf was involved in the creation and development of the nationwide Appliance Standards Awareness Program (ASAP) and the online system to support state specific product eligibility. Prior to that, he was involved in both the implementation of the lighting component of the LightWash program and the development of new Appliance Efficiency Regulations for the California Energy Commission. Before joining Energy Solutions, Mr. Kopf served as a Project Manager for Community Energy Services Corporation. He worked mainly with the Smart Lights Program, which helps small businesses upgrade to more energy efficient lighting. His main responsibilities within the Smart Lights program included the supervision of projects and contractor relationships. In addition, he provided lighting audits, data mining, and in-house database management. Mr. Kopf also brings 3 years of hi-tech process consulting experience at Andersen Consulting/Accenture where his clients included Microsoft, E*Trade, and Sun Microsystems. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering, graduating Cum Laude from the University of Arizona.

Daniel Cornejo, Senior Project Manager

Mr. Cornejo manages various energy efficiency programs in the Southern California and Nevada region. He is currently managing a Computer Monitor third party program and an online Residential Buyer’s Guide for Southern California Edison (SCE), and an Upstream Motor and HVAC Program for Nevada Power and Sierra Pacific Power. He assisted San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E) with 2006 program planning recommendations and trade ally outreach for the 2005 Express Efficiency Program. He was involved in all program aspects for the $13 million California Statewide Upstream Motors and HVAC program with SCE, SDG&E and Pacific Gas and Electric in 2004-5.  He has also provided marketing assistance to the California Energy Commission to promote their Low Interest Loan Program, worked on CA Investor Owned Utility codes and standards enhancement research, and managed the photovoltaic pre-feasibility analysis for a water utility client.

Prior to joining Energy Solutions, Mr. Cornejo was the Director of Engineering for Point Power Systems, where he managed the evaluation, selection, pricing, and sourcing of on & off grid windmill package systems for US applications. He was the company’s technical lead and advised the founders on product and renewable industry trends. He also assisted in strategic planning, operations, engineering, marketing & sales decisions. Mr. Cornejo received his Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Stanford University, and his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Miami.

James B. Hanna, Senior Project Manager

Mr. Hanna has diverse experiences in the field of energy efficiency. Mr. Hanna helped expand PG&E’s innovative RCA and DT/DS operation and maintenance rebate programs. Mr. Hanna was responsible for convincing contractors and distributors to conduct refrigerant charge/air flow and duct test and duct sealing in accordance with new more stringent and more effective procedures. Mr. Hanna designed and managed motor and air conditioner distributor rebate programs. Mr. Hanna was responsible for aspects of the rebate program including policy and procedures development and enforcement, regulatory support, marketing, and advertising. Create program brochures and facilitate rebate processing. Devised effective communication strategies to successfully engage market actors and increase program participation. Most noteworthy was Mr. Hanna’s leadership to manage and design PG&E’s first, and the nation’s first, paperless web base rebate application. The web based rebate application pays rebates in an unprecedented 7 days. Stocking and selling strategies succeeded in dramatically changing the motor and air conditioning industries. Stocking practices were change from 0%-5% to 50%-100% for high efficiency air conditioners covering over $80 millions of inventory and sales. Efforts have resulted in annual sale of more than 1,400 “Premium” energy efficient motors representing 26,000 horsepower, and 43,000 tons of high SEER/EER (Energy Efficiency Rating) packaged air conditioners. Mr. Hanna was responsible for developing regulatory filings, technical work papers, marketing strategies, rebate applications, marketing materials, engaged market actors and internal clients for PG&E’s very successful $60 million Express Efficiency Rebate Program. Responsibilities include role as technical program advisor for the program’s measures covering: refrigeration, controls, HVAC, motors, lighting, and agriculture. Mr. Hanna designed, developed, tested, and implemented ‘real-time’ performance analysis testing (PAT) tools for air compressors (using data loggers and AirMaster+), motors (using data loggers and Motor Master+), and package air conditioners (using data loggers and custom designed software). Created new data interface software between data logger and Air Master+. Successfully convinced Department of Energy (DOE) to add data interfaced software into Air Master+. Mr. Hanna has spent numerous years in the field completing commercial and industrial energy audits. Mr. Hanna was the first of two commercial energy auditors for PG&E. Lastly; Mr. Hanna was a start-up engineer at PG&E’s Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. Mr. Hanna wrote and implemented start-up testing procedures for various plant operating systems. Mr. Hanna implemented various note-worthy field-engineering re-designs on plant systems.

 

Alex Chase, Project Manager II

Mr. Chase manages Energy Solutions' policy and research projects that focus on appliance efficiency standards and consumer electronics. For the ABAG Energy Watch Program, he assists Bay Area governments lower their community energy usage by providing technical efficiency services and recommending energy policies and programs. Prior to joining Energy Solutions, Mr. Chase was a Sustainable Energy Fellow at the Rocky Mountain Institute, and a researcher at Baxter International. In both positions, his applied research showcased innovative ways in which the healthcare industry can improve resource efficiency while enhancing the healing and/or working environments. Mr. Chase has also served as a student representative to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in The Hague, Netherlands, and conducted field research on Alaskan Brown Bears in Katmai National Park. Mr. Chase received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University and his Master of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering and Science (with an energy focus) from Stanford University.

Greg Barker, Project Manager II

Mr. Barker implements energy efficiency programs for Energy Solutions, focusing on lighting technologies. He is currently managing activity on PG&E’s upstream and midstream lighting rebate programs. He coordinates a suite of programs targeting distributors and manufacturers who sell lighting products in the general fluorescent and LED markets. Mr. Barker also provides technical support and auditing skills to the large commercial market segment through the ABAG Energy Watch Local Government Partnership Program. He is assisting with the development of new federal and state standards for lighting products. Mr. Barker manages a Wireless HVAC Controls demonstration project for PG&E’s Emerging Technologies group. He previously worked on the LightWash Program for commercial coin laundromats, managing, marketing, and providing technical support for the lighting and water heater rebate programs. Mr. Barker earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, with coursework in semiconductor technologies, electronics design and energy efficiency.

Kate Merrill, Project Manager II

Ms. Merrill specializes in energy efficiency program implementation and project management.  She is currently serving as Facility Technical Services Lead and a City Lead for the 2006-2008 ABAG Energy Watch Program, assisting local governments in implementing energy efficiency through facility projects and policy initiatives. Ms. Merrill is also working as a Field Energy Analyst for the Retrocommissioning Services and Incentives Program under contract with Portland Energy Conservation Inc. Previously, Ms. Merrill was the Program Manager for the HeatWise Program which aimed to incentivize high-efficiency commercial gas appliances. She also implemented the LightWash Program for efficient commercial laundry and served as a Resource Conservation Manager under PG&E’s School Resource Program, assisting schools with their energy management needs.  She has provided project management services for marketing PG&E programs such as the Integrated Audit service and New Energy Options (NEO).  Formerly, Ms. Merrill was a mechanical engineering research assistant at the Industrial Assessment Center at the University of Illinois in Chicago.  In the U.S. Department of Energy sponsored program, she conducted comprehensive energy audits for small to medium-sized manufacturing facilities within the chemical, paper, metals and plastic industries.  Ms. Merrill earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, graduating with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago in May of 2003.

 

Ryan Ramos, Project Manager II

Mr. Ramos provides management support for PG&E’s Large Commercial and Institutional (LC&I) market sector including the Non-residential New Construction (NRNC) Program in which he assists customers with energy efficient design of new construction projects.  In this capacity Mr. Ramos also oversees the management of Non-residential Retrofit (NRR) applications. In addition, Mr. Ramos manages and implements activities on a variety of energy efficiency programs, including PG&E's New Efficiency Options (NEO) lighting offer and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) Energy Watch partnership in which he serves as an agency lead.  Most recently, Mr. Ramos is serving as the technical lead for Energy Solutions’ solar PV consulting practice in which his responsibilities include conducting site and financial feasibility assessments for clients.  Mr. Ramos is also responsible for conducting technical lighting training for new staff. Prior to joining Energy Solutions, Mr. Ramos completed his Master’s of Science from the Energy and Resources Group at the University of California at Berkeley, where he studied a wide range of energy-related topics including renewable energy technology, end-use energy efficiency, and energy markets. His Master's project involved evaluating the integration of high levels of wind power with energy storage systems including hydrogen in California. Mr. Ramos also worked for two years at URS Corporation as an Environmental Scientist where he specialized in regulatory compliance and environmental management systems. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Environmental Science from Northwestern University.

Pam Molsick, Project Manager II

Ms. Molsick manages and implements activities on a variety of energy efficiency projects including PG&E’s New Efficiency Options (NEO) Program and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) Energy Watch.  Prior to joining Energy Solutions, Ms. Molsick conducted audits, developed reports, performed sales and implemented remediation measures in the residential sector to improve energy efficiency, air quality and comfort for Sustainable Spaces. She also conducted building performance training, managed GreenUP consultants and provided energy efficiency design consulting for architects and contractors. She conducted large commercial and governmental energy audits, developed energy efficient cost saving programs and helped obtain energy efficiency and renewable funding from utility, city, state and federal resources at MRW & Associates. In addition, she conducted research, financial, economic, policy and regulatory analysis for testimony and settlement negotiations in gas and electricity proceedings before the state and federal government and litigation cases. She conducted industrial, commercial and real estate Phase I & II environmental site assessments, permit compliance audits, remediation projects and assisted in developing environmental impact reports and assisted in conducting master plans, third party engineering reviews and feasibility studies for energy and solid waste projects for Brown and Caldwell. She received her Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Renewable Natural Resources from University of California at Davis.

Sarah Van Mantgem, Project Manager II

Ms. Van Mantgem received a BS in Environmental Studies and Planning from Sonoma State University’s Energy Management and Design program in August of 2003. While working on her degree Ms. Van Mantgem worked on a feasibility study outline for the placement of a utility-scale wind farm offshore in Lake Michigan. Ms. Van Mantgem also served as an intern at the Real Goods Solar Living Institute where she assisted with the preparatory work for Sol Fest, the Pacific Northwest’s premier renewable energy fair.  Additionally, she hosted various workshops and provided tours of the facility, which entailed educating visitors about the various solar and wind power systems as well as the passive solar and ecological design of the Real Good’s building and grounds.  Ms. Van Mantgem also had the privilege of working with Real Goods’ staff to install the site’s wind turbine and a grey water irrigation system.  She also contributes 15 years of experience in customer service, retail sales, food service, administration and management.

Jun Furuta, Project Manager II

Mr. Furuta splits his time between managing the development of online application processing systems and supporting ongoing energy programs. He is currently managing the expansion of the California Instant Rebate System to provide rebate processing for vendor provided services, as well as other products in addition to the HVAC, motors, and commercial lighting already supported. He is also working on reporting for the California Solar Initiative (CSI). Prior to joining Energy Solutions, Mr. Furuta implemented a grants and technical assistance database for the Green Building in Alameda County Program at StopWaste.Org. At West Office Exhibition Design, he designed and managed the development of interactive exhibits for history museums and science centers. Before that, Mr. Furuta was a Product Manager at Berkeley Process Control, Inc., a high-end machine controls company. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley.

Stephanie Stern, Project Manager II

Ms. Stern joined Energy Solutions in August 2005. She currently assists with Energy Solutions’ administration of the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC), a non-profit organization which maintains a roof ratings system. Ms. Stern serves as the Administrative Manager, coordinating with the Board of Directors, tackling technical issues and overall program development. Ms. Stern also works on a project to improve compliance with California’s Appliance Efficiency Standards (Title 20) and on a variety of IT projects. Prior to joining Energy Solutions, Ms. Stern worked at Strategic Energy Innovations, a Marin-based non-profit, providing energy education and conservation support to Bay Area public schools and small businesses. Ms. Stern received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and Studio Art from Wellesley College.

Dave Finke, Software Project Manager

Mr. Finke has been actively involved in software development, testing and support for the last 4 years. He manages Energy Solutions' IT projects. His largest current project is an online application system for the California Solar Initiative (CSI). Prior to joining Energy Solutions, Mr. Finke worked as a software developer at AT&T where he developed web applications and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from the University Of Missouri, Columbia.

Linda Brandon, Art Director / Graphic Designer

For the past ten years Ms. Brandon has been designing collateral material for Energy Solutions. She brings 27 years of expertise producing corporate communication, advertising design and marketing projects for corporate clients. She has designed direct mail pieces, print advertisements, program applications, brochures, and other marketing materials for energy efficiency programs. Prior to becoming a design consultant, Ms. Brandon was Senior Designer and Art Director for 19 years at Lawrence Bender & Associates, a nationally recognized design firm. She conducted classes in Communication Design for 10 years, including lectures at The University of California at Santa Cruz, San Jose State University, and Foothill College. Ms. Brandon has produced a wide range of projects for a variety of clients. Her work has included logo design, corporate identity programs, book design, catalogues, brochures, magazines, packages, print advertising, exhibit graphics, annual reports posters, and web sites. Linda Brandon received a B.A. in Art from San Jose State University and teaching accreditation from the University of California at Berkeley.
