Energy Solutions' staff has several years experience supporting standards development at both the state and national levels. We have worked at all levels of the process:  participating in standards proceedings on behalf of our clients, leading analysis to develop and support proposed codes, conducting market and technology research, drafting public review comments, delivering presentations, and negotiating proposed consensus standards with industry stakeholders.

Program Example: Codes and Standards Enhancement Program

The PG&E Codes and Standards Enhancement (CASE) Initiative captured vast statewide energy efficiency savings through development of California building and appliance energy efficiency codes and standards.  CASE provides comprehensive technical, economic, market, and infrastructure support of potential standards. 

Energy Solutions served as both a technical consultant and team manager of five consulting firms supporting PG&E in the 2004 Title 20 (appliance efficiency regulations) proceeding. The PG&E CASE team developed, presented, and defended more than 20 standards proposals for equipment ranging from commercial refrigeration to pool pumps to clothes washers to external power supplies.
